We met in 2016 while working together at Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt (RIP). We became fast friends and started dating in May of 2017.

Ethan started at K-State (yuck) in 2018 and like a typical college boy has no photos to commemorate this occasion. Mady started at KU (woo) the following year in 2019.

Although we went to different colleges, we continued showing our love in many ways through weekly Skype calls, weekend visits and valentines flowers.

We took our first day trip together to visit the Omaha zoo! This was over spring break of 2020, so little did we know we were in for an extra long break.

We continued our yearly tradition of visiting the luminary walk for Christmas at the Arboretum! And we finished our first fully remote semesters in the craziness of COVID!

Here we took a road trip to Minnesota where we went to Minneapolis for the Mall of America and to Duluth for the beautiful hiking trails.

Ethan graduated from K-State with an MBA and Bachelors in computer science. We moved in together in Lawrence for Mady’s last year of college.

That summer we flew to DC, where we had such a fun and memorable time visiting all of the museums. We were thrilled to see the pandas at the zoo!

Mady was accepted to Northeastern State University PA Program and graduated from KU that May with a Bachelors in human biology.

Our last taste of freedom in the Dominican Republic before moving to Tulsa, Oklahoma and starting PA school.

That winter break we adopted our first cat Komi! She is our grumpy but cuddly girl who loves her churu treats!

The next year we added Maomao to the family so Komi could have a sister and play buddy! She is very silly, energetic and makes sure we wake up precisely at 6am every day!

In June of Mady’s clinical year, we took a mini vacation to the Grand Lake O’ the Cherokees where Ethan proposed on the dock while we were watching the sunset! This was not only the best surprise ever but a much needed trip for our sanity!

Mady graduated PA school and passed her boards!! We moved back to Kansas this past December to be closer to family and start our next life chapter!
